Supply should increase somewhat from here on out, with a few temporary slowdowns possible due to cool downs, but demand will also increase. Prices may remain elevated unfortunately.

A buddy said he was told $12 a pound in corpus, annual crawfish boil will have extra sausage this year.

We're doing barbecue instead of crawfish for the spring company picnic this year. Chicken and ribs are cheaper and tastier.

Lobster tails are 6.98 each at HEB right now. Wonder how they taste boiled in Zatarain's?

Friend got a price of $350/sack. That equates to over $9/pound live.

I'll be getting some for V-Day dinner. If I wanted to mimic a crawfish boil, I'd split the tails in half, mix some melted butter with whatever crawfish spice you like, brush it on the tails, and broil them. Boiled lobster isn't that great.

I almost alway throw a few lobster tails, whole shrimp, and crab legs in my boils. Not surprisingly they are outstanding. I add them in frozen after I kill the fire then ice my boil to about 155 for the soak. After 30 minutes everything is cooked perfectly

I was kidding about boiling them but do appreciate the serving suggestion! I think I will try that for our VD dinner.

Sure, if you're eating by yourself or cooking for a few people. But if you're hosting a backyard party with a cooler full of ice cold beer, nothing beats crawfish.62strat said:$50+/lb for crawfish meat.. uh I'll take wagyu anyday.Rattler12 said:Yep.....anybody that buys $42/lb wagyu beef steaks ought not fret over $9 mudbugsPantera said:

Yesterday's prices:
