I prefer medium hot now because my stomach can't handle extra hot any longer.

I get a mild and a hot and mix them together for a more medium spice.

my wife (teacher) was given a bottle of citas salsa that was purchased at central market. I just tried to look it up on central markets site and its not showing up. Here's the company site:

I gave up on finding a good salsa from HEB years ago. I'd recommend buying from your favorite mexican restaurant as many sell their own salsa.

Big fan of Salsa DeLeon. Made in Canyon Lake, TX. Sold in HEB and other stores.

I'm not a fan of Mateo's. It has extremely to much Cumin it's nasty.

This is it. The fire roasted isn't as hot as the green. The habanero is my favorite but it's pretty damn spicy.

This is the correct answer. If I can't find this, HEB's Mi Tienda Salsa Chili De Arbol works.

Gonna need to try this one…

And El Gallo is legit…maybe most authentic, in my mind

I love El Gallo. Not a chips and dip type salsa, but amazing on breakfast tacos.

Gunslinger Salsa. It's in Spec's. It's my brand, so if you haven't tried it, give it a shot and support an Aggie owned company. Medium hot, fire roasted goodness. It pretty much beats every salsa on the shelf, especially if you like a little smoke. I'm doing a demo tomorrow at the College Station Spec's from 1-4PM if anyone wants to swing by and try it.

I'll give the Gunslinger a shot.

That said my go-to for a few years now is Kylito's.

I'm a big fan of their "Texas mild".
Spoiler, they're joking about it being mild.
