I think what OP is saying is that we all thought our offense was dog crap all season, but as bad as we were, our mostly Max Johnson led team put up better numbers than this kid, who is supposed to be a Heisman front runner and first round draft pick.

If he can't do better than the 4 guys we had to play, he shouldn't be in the conversation to be one of the best.

If he wants to improve his draft stock he needs to show consistency and stop these skids he goes through. I hope the skids continue actually esp on Nov 30.

Not gonna lie to you OP, I spent entirely too much time trying remember our 2013 season like you did.

He needs to prove he can actually throw into tight windows instead of getting 200/250 yards per game on YAC by receivers.

He's coming back because he got a subpar draft grade. He has all the tools in the world. He has an absolutely elite arm

Scouts can also see on film he really struggles if his first read isn't open. Like mightily. Thankfully for him Sark is such an awesome offensive mind and their offense was so talented compared to their opponents the first read was often open

If you can make him come off that first guy, he struggles a bunch. It's why they had so many inferior teams come back on them. You get away from the scripted plays and he's incredibly meh

Think OP meant to say 2023 and yes, point was Ewers if mediocre at best, which is why he's not declaring for the draft.

Is he an elite coach or do they simply out recruit their conference by an average rank of about 50 spots?

They snuck past some pretty bad teams last year. They also beat down on some really bad teams last year.

If they have elite players and an elite coach, they should have put up video game numbers each and every game. They didn't.
