My wife was listening and she said the umpire was all over the place for both teams. Sounds like both offenses had trouble with it.

Kennedy shutting the door in the final frame in 3 of the 5 games this weekend shows how far she's come. She was nails all weekend. Pitching was great, only 8 runs given up in 5 games, 3 of which came in 1 inning of a game that was mostly in hand.
Look around the country at some of the scores this past weekend and you'll see how nice it is to have a staff that only gives up 8 runs in 5 games.
On offense… the last 2 games left something to be desired. It was nice to see them manufacture runs to get the 2 wins. Let's hope this was just a mini slump that they can shake off this week.

Looks like Emiley Kennedy pitched 16 and two-thirds innings this weekend, giving up 1 earned run with 23 strikeouts and 7 walks/hit batters.

Em to the K is the Ace. They will ride her when they need to. Also, JULIA was HUGE this weekend, and I can't wait to see everyone on Saturday and possibly Friday night at least. I'll text where I'm at, and let's all get a cold one between games together

Really good win tonight over SLU. I had no clue about that team coming into the game, but they're not a bodybag game type of team. They are very good and will definitely be in a regional. I was really impressed with their lineup.

Good game tonight. Bats looked better than the score for the most part. Need to continue to get Vestal innings and let her find her groove this weekend. I don't think we will see a team as good as this one the rest of the tournament. Good weekend for players to build confidence

I took a quick look at SE Louisiana before tonight's game and noted they were 8-2 this year. Then looked at the past couple of years at saw they were 47-14 last year and 40-16 the previous year. That had me concerned that they could sneak up on us. Solid program.

Yes lots of deep hits that just happened to be right in the gloves of SLU. Couple of really good plays by some of their outfielders too.

On the radio post game interview Allie Enright said she thought her 4th inning bases loaded double was foul and it looked like that to me on the replay.
