I think there are a few places Heefner might eventually go...but Texas isn't one of them. On the other hand, he has a bunch of sons that all play baseball. He might want to make a nice, solid career out of coaching DBU (and his sons) for the next couple of decades. Think Al Ogletree at UT-Pan Am.

I was walking from my office to the parking garage that overlooks Vanderbilt's field, and saw massive lightning in the backdrop.
It was delayed before I pulled out of the garage. Not shocking with lightning and the cell moving from the west headed to Davidson Coumty.

Yeah they showed the radar. Stadium had even announced lightning approaching and 12 miles away, much to the dismay of Corbin. The rule is within 8 miles and they played for about 15-20 more minutes after that stadium announcement.

I don't know of anywhere specific, but it would have to be a pretty conservative place. I think he would have come to A&M if offered. He's from the Midwest, but I can't think of any school that would be a better gig than DBU. Nebraska, maybe?

Anyone watching OU at BYU? Have on the second screen with UNC / NC State game on big screen with audio. BYU pitcher threw a wild pitch and then was really visibly upset, yelling into his glove, huffing around, etc. He was was pulled with a 1-1 count. Guessing he hurt something? Hate to see that if so.

As I matter of principle, I've been rooting against all highly ranked non-SEC teams this season. Making an exception tonight because NC State plays on one of those "dirt only on the pitching mound" fields. And in that ideal North Carolina climate.

I've come to the conclusion that SEC baseball is so good that the SEC tournament is tougher than the CWS (competition-wise). SEC wins validate my opinion, so I root for them.Quote:
