the Frogs need 7-2 vs. KState, Baylor, and WVU to reach 15-15

going to be very tough

considering that TCU has already lost 5 conference series

also...the Big 12 should not be an 8-bid league. Frankly, should not be a 7-bid league. 6 max

would be nice if it were on the SEC network

getting tennis instead

This drives me INSANE. Not only are they showing something they can easily tape delay, but they are showing WAY too much softball over baseball.

Lots of carnage among the Top25 - ACC is cannibalizing itself.

Aggies, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Vandy are the class of the SEC.

Anybody got a feel for how good Irvine is? Remember they were really really good about a decade ago and that was fun.

Softball does better than baseball on tv. And fits in a quicker window.

Streaming is better imo. You aren't stuck with at home announcers and aren't stuck with weird times.

Vandy has scored more than our entire series.

Softball has higher ratings and it's a shorter game.

#12 UCSB and #27 Irvine -- both from the Big West -- will be in the field as 2-seeds probably

neither school played any non-conference games vs. the ACC or SEC or Big 12

they are kind of mystery teams

both would be candidates for a College Station regional

We have a brief, semi-recent post-season history with both teams.

one interesting data point from last year's regional pairings...

the Pac-12 + Big West + West Coast + Mountain West produced 8 regional teams

the farthest any west coast team traveled was Nashville (Oregon)

none of them were sent to ACC or east coast regionals -- which were 7 of the 16 regionals a year ago

could definitely see the Big West at Blue Bell

We invented everything.

Nope...Jace and Schotty heard it at USCe when we played them earlier this year.

I was being facetious.

In addition it'll be interesting to see if they "reach" in order to award another regional out there. Irvine and UCSB are iffy at best, but when you look at 7-8+ hosts from VA to GA alone i wonder if they might not attempt to force some geographic diversity.

After the weekend Oregon State had, they may be "reaching" to have one out West. I think that's what we will see; only one.

Could be. UCSB is up to #12 in Warren Nolan with OrSt at 15. My phone won't let me access Boyd's because it thinks it's a phishing site.

If UCSB holds near 20 I think they might.
