Would certainly ease the worry of rainouts.

Always going to be worries with guys that are ranked that high, but his dad is a long time college coach (12+ seasons at High Point) so maybe they just really want him to get the college experience. In that article from his commitment to clanga in the past, he talks about the passionate fanbase and the environment and such. Massive get if we can get him on campus.

A flip from the Bulldogs? And here I thought Georgia pitchers were very sticky.

Kid is a stud.

Goes like 6'5" 230'ish, sitting mid-90's, big-time hammer, and outstanding control. I'll see what I can find but I saw a thing on him last summer that had a ridiculously low walk rate.

Best I can do is a no-no last night
:

Just searching his name on X, no doubt this kid is a stud. Also now listed at 6' 7" fwiw.

how in the world is that catcher supposed to move in front of a wild pitch? Makes me shake my head in disbelief

If there is no one on base it doesn't matter. I don't know why this guy is doing the splits, but a majority of teams have started to encourage comfortable positions without runners on base to reduce unnecessary wear and tear on catchers knees. It also can give a marginal advantage when framing pitches because it takes away an anchor point from the umpires vision and how he perceives the strike zone relative to the catcher's kneecap in a conventional stance.
