Texas A&M continues to add key pieces to the 2025 class, and the Aggies returned to the DFW area for another big-time playmaker as DeSoto (TX) running back Deondrae Riden‍ announced his college commitment.

At 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, Riden is an every-down back who runs with a strong blend of power, vision and quickness. His size and strength allow him to finish runs with power and gain the tough yards between the tackles. His explosive burst allows him to hit a crease, make opponents miss in space, and take it the distance. He is well-schooled in blitz pick-up, and he is a playmaking threat as a receiver.

Over the last two seasons, he has been highly productive, rushing for over 1,000 yards each season, and he helped guide the Eagles to back-to-back state championships.

Riden received his A&M offer in April, before his sophomore season, and the Aggies have actively pursued him ever since. He has taken multiple visits to A&M over the years, and when Mike Elko was named as head coach, running backs coach and associate head coach Trooper Taylor and defensive line coach, former DeSoto standout and area recruiter Tony Jerod-Eddie took the lead in his recruitment.

Riden becomes the Aggies’ fourth commitment to the 2025 recruiting class, and he is the second addition from the DFW area. He is currently ranked No. 23 in the TexAgs Texas Top 100 and the No. 1 running back in Texas.

In addition to Texas A&M, he received offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, USC and Washington.
