Great interview with Mark

He's clearly working on Alexa Noel

Time to upgrade our outdoor facility and build the statues!

Sounds like both coaches are being replaced. Is that confirmed?

Mark's easiest sales pitch ever.

Build your career:
I was an assistant here and am now the head coach. My last assistant is now the head coach at Auburn.

Win quickly:
I should also mention we return 5 of our top 6 that just won the NCAA title destroying every team they faced.

The second assistant never seemed to make his presence felt this year. Was there just not a cultural fit?

The assistant coach is being replaced?

Taylor was a culture fit. His presence was what it was because he 3-5 years ago made the career change to tennis, but even that was as director of ops. Mark and the girls loved him, and he's a great encouragement I hear (and saw), but his on court coaching role was pretty limited due to experience. The position is open because he only had a 1 year contract. After speaking to his wife, they are extremely grateful, but are looking for a place that isn't as hot as College Station, they came from tennessee and loved it there.

Good to know! Thank you for the insight. I wasn't sure just based off of what we saw. Makes a lot of sense!

I'll give Bjork props for not letting this women's coach go ever. Coach clearly took the initiative it takes to win a championship, like recruiting better and aggressively internationally. Now let's get them an indoor.

Who do we think the new coaches might be…

And leads on the last scholarship and / or transfer…???

Considering this team is one player away from a natty(potentially), I'm going to guess he finds either a freshmen or an underclassmen. This team will be a senior laden team, no need to bring in another senior. Already going to be losing alot.(unless third name is Alexa Noel)

It will be interesting to see what he does. He has Lexington coming in this year as a freshman. I have a feeling he will add an upperclassman transfer that wants to compete for a national championship. Someone that can play 2-3 in the line up and 2-3 in doubles.

For sure. I felt like he was hinting at that in his TexAgs interview. We pulled it off before we had won a title. Carson, Salma, Nicole.

It's a perfect situation for a current #1 to come in and win a natty.

Definitely the type of coach that i think compliments Mark well. He has an impressive resume for being a relatively young coach. Looking through things I think he'll bring great energy.

"That's why I was attracted to Texas A&M," Alberts said. "This is a place where you can dream like that. ... I don't want to have to push coaches. I want coaches who push me and our administrative team and this place is filled with them. And Jim is one of the leaders."

Hopefully Mark is leveraging our natty and working plans to renovate / rebuild our outdoor facility.

Gotta have money to do that. Unfortunately money only flows to Football and Baseball right now. Track a few years ago, and their indoors doesn't count
