It seems like TXDOT and others are turning road rebuilds into retention ponds. I've noticed several more prone to flooding.

They rebuilt Coulter (city not TXDOT) and now it floods more than ever. Water flooded out our garage, second time in a couple weeks. It's happened much more often since the rebuild a few years ago than the 15 years before that we'd lived there.

They made Coulter such that it holds more water now vs running down the side streets.

It's a "liquid median design". Very advanced.

6.5 inches in just over two hours. Worst I've seen it since moving here 4 years ago. HWY30 and Harvey area.

Texas lives in a state of perpetual drought interrupted by flooding. This is nothing unusual.

6.4 inches in two days, but nowhere near Harvey's 39 inches in three days.

We also were without electricity. I called pulse power texas customer service at once and understood the shutdown would take long. Fotunately, we have a generator. Also, I'm thinking about alternative energy sources. maybe solar panels are really worth it.

No. And hold onto your butt's. This is possibly the worst wind I have seen here since we moved here in 2019. (We are north of town between Tabor and Edge)

For a few minutes, it looked like the dead of night towards BCS

I think the dome over South Brazos County is going to hold.

0 chance it holds.

Zero.

Nada.

Zilch.

We are 100% gonna get hit hard (again).

Yes, I'm really trying to jinx it. This is what it's come to.

That was the teaser. The main event comes in a couple of hours per the forecast...

ETA - the dome could very well hold up; I'm just relaying weather app info.

We here in BCS are fortunate that first round went to the north. I was referring the second round which was not as threatening.

It ripped the roof off of our dog house, and there were branches down on Dick Elliott this morning driving in.

The storm that blew thru at lunch has moved out most of the haze we had been seeing. Don't know if it will last.

It did cool things down a bit.

Feels awesome outside, unfortunately know it won't last.

Ready for this to be over. Need to cut/bale hay, spent all weekend cleaning up downed trees and branches, looking to spend all next weekend doing the same, and it's so soggy I can only get my tractor to about half of it.

We were scheduled to windrow and bale early afternoon but got 4 tenths in 15 minutes. After it cleared out, the wind did at least continue and dried things out pretty nicely. If we don't get that storm at 2am tonite, maybe we can put some hay in the barn tomorrow.

Off topic- do you sell hay? My MIL (in Hearne/Blackjack area) is looking for 4-6 round bales

We baled yesterday and stacked till around 8pm. Put out fertilizer this morning and getting a nice rain now. I don't deserve it.

We got a little wind and a quick rain, but it passed over us quickly. Looked like it intensified as it got to BCS

Slammed in Pebble Creek. Didn't measure but it was level 9 intense for about 40 mins. Gutters were totally overwhelmed about 20 mins in.
