IronRed, they still had some single jubelales left and I think a couple of 6 packs. Not sure where you live but if youre ever around Richmond and Montrose soon they'll probably still have some.

Has anyone seen Dogfish Head 120 at Whole Foods in Sugar Land? The website says they have it there, I assume by the growler.
FYI, there is no DFH 120 at Sugar Land Whole Foods. In fact, they only have two taps, one had Karbach and the other had Avery Majarah. The rest of the beer selection is pretty decent, though.

Bunker Hill HEB has it, but it was something like $8.99. I found it at Wirt Rd Kroger for $7.00ish

Is the wild hare any good? They had boatloads of cases of it at whole foods. Went with Karbach Lager instead today.

Heb has been more on shiner lately, and cheap on st a. Krogers has been cheap on both.

Bondag,
I think Wild Hare is the best beer Shiner has out. I'm a hophead, but it isn't overpowering.

was just explaining to my wife, i like shiner wild hare, and all the blue moon seasonals.. they are macrobreweries who are experimenting craft brew styles, but they make them accessible, or toned down if you will. Shiner doesn't want to put out some bitter hop bomb; they want something a shiner bock drinker will pick up on name recognition and still hopefully enjoy. Sometimes I want a particular style of beer, but so many american breweries just do everything bigger and better and overdo it sometimes. It's nice to have just a subtle example of a particular style. Wild hare is like this, and as I mentioned the blue moon seasonals (I got a mix pack with them all).
but then sometimes I want a big f-in beer! So I had a few of these tonight.
Weighs in at 11%. According to label, first brewpub in california, in 1983. Not in a big city either, 100 miles north of san fran. Some good things are created outside the big city limits

May have been mentioned earlier, but Central Market currently has their beer on sale based on the amount spent:
15% off 4.99-9.99
20% off 10.00-24.99
25% off 25+
Went in looking for some non-beer related items and strolled out with two Rahr burbon barrel aged winter warmer's.

saint arnold 6 packs for $6.97 at HEB, got some weedwhacker for tomorrow and elissa for tonight.

62strat is dead on, this is how I feel about no label somewhat, their beers are a step down from Karbach, but are much more palatable to the average beer drinker.
which doesn't mean they aren't good, because they are.

Texas beer fest pre-party at the Gman tonight. cask aged southern star, karbach, and more, plus live music.

Soo close to getting a sixxer of that, went with the barley wine and SN harvest instead.

Shiner Wild Hare is better than I expected. Good overall balance. I will purchase another 6er in the near future.
Stone Oaked Arrogant ******* is great, but I can't justify the $15/6er cost. Probably wouldn't buy again.

It's probably been years since I had a whereat beer. I seem to recall that there used to be some Hefe that I liked, but can't recall.
