Seal break. When I get growlers filled here in town they will last a couple days, but I usually drink one the day of over the course of a night or split with friends before getting a fill

horray! more small releases that only jobless hipsters who camp out for will be able to get.
If Houston gets its ass into shape and has a good dozen or so breweries in 5 years, you'll see most of the demand for one-off beers be distributed much more evenly. Just a matter of time.

Had a Cycler's Brewing 55-11 last night at Rockwells. Imperial Red Ale and it was pretty good. Guess they are a new brewery out of Montgomery. My first time hearing of them.

Thought I put that here, but appears I put it in food board beer thread.

I thought I remember somebody saying something about a new brewery in the Houston area recently. I searched this one for it and didn't even think to look at the food and spirits board. I was trying to figure out where it was from today because I forgot to ask last night and their website doesn't say for some reason.

Bodacious - Found it at both Specs and Kroger (I was shocked). Picked up 2 bottles. Eh. Not impressed. Not enough hops for my liking. It just seemed....plain. And I usually love anything they put out.

Karbach Yule Shoot Your Eye Out - In the fridge now. Wasn't able to try it last year, so I'm hoping it lives up to my expectations.

Jester King Gotlandsdricka - Haven't been impressed by anything they put out, but the beer guy at Spec's told me to give it a try. I'll let you know later this weekend what I think.

Dogfish 75 minute - Spec's just got a shipment of this stuff. Had it a while back and liked it so much I couldn't pass it up.

Rogue First Growth Pumpkin - AMAZING. Very impressed.

The brewery that was going to be called Yard Sale is finally getting a home at the corner of Studewood/N Main & 20th.

tried some Henry Weinhard's private reserve, pretty good ale, definitely recommend it as a starter beer for someone interested in taking a step up from bud light.

speaking of bud light, i tried some bud light black crown which was a little better than regular bud light but not by much.

This is actually the first review I've ever heard about the Black Crown. I haven't found anyone that's picked it up or tried it yet.
I assume it's just like their platinum beer...marketing scheme to make people think it's new and improved.

Remember American Ale by Budweiser? That was better.

If you haven't tried Jim Koch's version of New Albion, give it a shot. It's one of my favorites at the moment.

I just bought 2 roshambos and a hopadillo negro at the Smith Specs. Also had several sixers of the Lag Shutdown. They had a decent amount of all of them.

Roshambo is on point. The black IPA wasn't anything special.
