Roshambo was pretty good. Hopadillo negro tasted much better than regular Hopadillo to me but still just ok.

finally got some roshambo and it was ok, still tasted significantly like hopadillo which wasn't surprising but I expected a little more belgian flavor to it.

I tried the black IPAs from St Arnold - Icon Blue and Karbach -- Negro, both were excellent.

Saint Arnold was a bit more maltier and Karbach was hoppier.

Just tried the icon red bohemian pils, really really good if you like Czech style pilsners

Real Ale Hanz's pils is on the same level and a little cheaper since it comes in 6 packs instead of 4 packs (like icon does).

Agree on Hanz Pils, it's good too. I like the icon a bit more but you're right that Hanz is clearly a better value. It's the only Real Ale beer I buy.

GoAgs92...I bought a 6 pack of Ft. Bends Lightning IPA....not worth writing home about in my opinion. beeradvocate.com seemed to agree with me as well.

Fort Bend has some decent beers. Their IPA is probably my least favorite of theirs, and I'm an IPA guy.

Their Farmhouse Ale is probably my favorite of theirs.

the only FT bend I ever drank was at the Skeeters game on Fathers day, it was ok.

Anyone else going to the Green Flash beer dinner at Crisp tonight? Me and some other guys are going, should be sweet.

Also, saw that Karbach's FUN 009 "Rodeo Lounge" is going to be coming out very soon!

Pretty cool event going on this Sunday at HOB. LOTS of rare release beers, and over 50 beers so far.

I'm going to be skiing the day of the party, and I'm a little bit jealous of the people attending. Although I've had a LOT of those beers, being friends with the hosts of the show/party.

City Acre closing, Local Group, Holler, and others under new ownership, B-52 and an unidentified brewery up for sale. Seems like the glory days of the Houston Beer scene are over.

Chron: Another Houston brewery closes, others are going up for sale.

It's a brutal industry with a constantly changing legal landscape, fickle fans etc...

With grain prices about to spike I can't imagine the future of brewing. Let alone inflation and a possible recession.

Hops have already gone through the roof. Tough time for small brewers for sure.

While I appreciate having one of Houston's best beers in a can, I found it an odd move with the current aluminum market.
