Any idea what's happening at crown plaza near Kirby today?

El Salvador presidential election. There was a line wrapped around the block earlier today.

Their countrymen just voted at a rate of 90% to re-elect (constitutionally shaky grounds) a 40-yo presidente whose primary accomplishment is locking up every gangbanger in his country. The El Salvador homicide rate is now at historic lows.

Think about that- you're safer from MS-13/cartel violence in San Salvador than Houston.

Bukele is awesome. Just needs to go "Pinochet" with the helicopter tours for commies and he's got a shot at being one of the GOAT's.

Be on the lookout for a blue flopping and flapping over the shoulder boulder holder.
Quote:

The spokesperson told Eyewitness News that two women were allegedly involved in an altercation with each other before one shot the other and fled the area.
Quote:

ABC13 cameras captured deputies placing brown paper bags on a man's hands earlier at the scene.

Officials said the suspect did flee the area. She was last seen wearing a blue bra and black shorts.

The Chronicle has always loved them some criminals. Everybody should find somebody who loves them the way the Chronicle loves a murderer.

Yeah, that was a bit misleading and not fair to this particular news source. These are modern idiotic terms used by modern lefty groups, but I clicked on this link specifically to check to see if they used this liberal word salad, and they didn't.

It means a person who is only a criminal because of white honkey cracker laws, aka, someone we used to call a hoodrat.

Unborn babies under siege. Kim Ogg must approve, given that slap on the wrist….

Quote:

A Texas man who drugged his wife's drinks in an attempt to induce an abortion was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 10 years on probation.

Quote:

Mason Herring, a 39-year-old Houston attorney, pleaded guilty Wednesday to injury to a child and assault of a pregnant person. He had initially been charged with felony assault to induce abortion.

Catherine Herring, who has filed for divorce, told the court the jail sentence was not long enough. She said their 1-year-old daughter, their third child, was born about 10 weeks premature, has developmental delays and attends therapy eight times a week.

We had a high speed chase through Oak Forest Friday. Maybe it's time to invest in some spike strips.

looking on Twitter, sounds like potential active shooter.

That's one way to keep your stuff or your truck from getting stolen.

Sleep in the backseat with an AR-15.

One less thief in Houston now.

Some heroes don't wear capes.

P.S. The Glock in the guy's pocket was probably a "truck gun" he had stolen out of somebody else's truck. Stop leaving guns in your vehicles!

I don't usually think Ben Crump has a case, but DAMN these lady Houston Cops might have overreacted a tad not knowing who all was in that apartment.

so the guest of the resident broke a window and entered the apt because she didn't have a key, then came to the door with a gun when police knocked and announced their presence?

i wonder what the hit factor was on the ~3 mags dumped into that window?

I don't feel bad she got shot, but hell, dumping mag after mag into a mostly covered window and wall into an apartment. That seems a little reckless.

oh, don't worry. i'm sure every one of those rounds found their intended target and nothing around or beyond. these are professionals who probably train by shooting literally dozens of rounds per month.
