No idea how reputable this is but it doesn't bode well for Marsch, if true:

Man, flip a coin. Heads, Liverpool look incredible and win 6-0. Tails, Liverpool put up a 3.0 in xG but lose 1-0.

I think it makes sense to keep him through Liverpool. If he wins that somehow and Bournemouth, he would be roughly mid-table and you could see if he can do something after the break. If not, you can get a new guy with the break and use the break to reset.

But man, remember how everyone thought he was going to be the guy that changed the opinion on Americans after the Chelsea win? So much for that…

Kind of hoping he gets canned before so he's ready to sign after the WC and GGG dismissal.

Well he's probably going to lose to Liverpool. I'm just saying, if he somehow beats Liverpool, you can't fire him then, unless he loses to Bournemouth.

If Leeds beat Liverpool though… man, the heat would be on high at Anfield.

Kind of a ****ty deal. If your struggling team doesn't beat one of the best teams in the world (albeit on bad form), you lose your job

Well, losing to Fulham wasn't ideal.

Man bringing in Sean Dyche would seem like the pendulum swinging wildly in the other direction. Surely there's someone else who has a little more positive approach?

I have no idea if that source is reputable but giving him one last chance against Liverpool isn't giving him one last chance. It's letting him lose to a team you're likely to lose to so that a new manager can start with a more manageable game.

Also...Sean Dyche? You think Leeds fans, who are still obsessed with Bielsa and his style of play are going to tolerate Sean Dyche? You hire him, you're effectively severely kneecapping your ceiling in order to try and raise your floor. Maybe good in the immediate short term but horrible for anything beyond this season.

Villa hired Unai Emery as their manager. Struggled at Arsenal but still a good get for Villa and their wishes to establish themselves in that next group behind the top 6/7.

Emery was quoted years ago saying that he was watching Peaky Blinders to try and improve his English. Now, he is moving to coach in Birmingham. This dude has been playing the long game 3D chess all along.

If that's the bar then lots of teams are going to fire their coaches. Fulham isn't going down this year. Hell they're in the top 1/2 of the table right now.

100% this. Talk about completely opposite tactical coaches. Leeds fans will not be happy with this. Dyche is a Championship level manager. Long balls and a parked bus are not tactics. It's like owning a Ferrari and hiring an 80-year old grandmother (or Jimbo) to be your driver.

Woah now. Lets not get out of hand. Leeds in more like Ford Mustang. Its a sports car yes, but its definitely in the lower tier of sports cars

I had hoped that we all would have one more year of not having to worry about Newcastle but it appears that is not meant to be.

Newcastle wouldn't be top 4 if they had mid week European competitions to play. Tired legs turn stars into duds.

Oh no doubt. It was a frenetic game and Leeds had legit chances. This wasn't a ridiculous result by any means.

My point if anything is that Leeds have had many results that were unlucky - where they played better but still lost… so it's fitting that it goes the other way when it purportedly mattered most.

That's the 2022 LFC experience in a nutshell. Plenty of xG, shaky defending, disappointing result.

Keep the chins up, Liverpool. With a little luck you guys have an excellent chance to eventually catch Fulham.

Probably true. However, they also haven't had many transfer windows to buy all of the depth the other clubs have. Hell, I think over half of the starting line-up is guys that were on the squad before the takeover last year.

I'd expect them to be fairly busy in January and next summer to address that very issue.
