City should be winning this handily.
RM should've been eliminated by Leipzig.
I'll doubt it.La Bamba said:

Yeah, another quality team like…checks notes…Leipzig would have been closer to a championship.

My point is that RM isn't all that special this year (likely due to injuries and aging stars) so this definitely isn't the de facto championship game.
All that said… RM probably advances on pens, and I'll be ok with that.
Don't get me wrong… I think Leipzig would fare even worse against City (style of play).AGC said:deadbq03 said:I'll doubt it.La Bamba said:

Man Ciry dominated this game but doesn't have the killer Instinct
To be fair RM got 1 up and played 99% defense for 99% of the game

If they were capable of going toe to toe they wouldn't have been parking the bus to play for pens.
And they looked the same (or even worse) after City equalized.SpreadsheetAg said:

I agree. Ancelotti is using rodrygo and vini up front and they aren't strikers. Bellingham covered up a lot early on.

I don't know how Ancelloti does it. How do you take a team that is used to playing with the ball and have them defend like that for 120 minutes? It's not pretty to watch. But holy *****

Cause he's the football version of Vito Corleone.

I'm just saying. A lot of people really don't understand how difficult it is to get a team to play completely against their nature and hold up.

Ancelotti played a game that gave his team the best chance to win. And at the end of the day, that's all that matters.
Why is it undeserved? Because RM played a defensive game instead of trying to match Man City's attack?Mike Elko said:

Giving up 33 shots and 9 on target definitely isn't any coach's plan.
Giving up possession is one thing.Unemployed said:Why is it undeserved? Because RM played a defensive game instead of trying to match Man City's attack?Mike Elko said:

This. I'm a Madrid (and Ancelotti, for that matter) fan, but City dominated and deserved to move on today. The numbers don't lie... Relax.

but they got it done and City has all year given up soft goals and it bit them in this match
I think RM has a pretty good chance to win it all. Bayern isn't special. PSG? maybe

If we were still under away goals, that first match would not have been played that way. So it's irrelevant.
