Are they that good? Haven't had er17 before so genuinely curious if it's worth the $1000

Ha I had a friend negotiate it to that. Maybe he is just good - he did say it took a while
And maybe he was full of crap - but he has a ton of bourbon

Nothing is "worth" $1k for a bottle.
But ER17 is probably the best pour I've had. Liked it better than GTS. And I'm a proof head.

Yes, thanks for the replies
As the reason why I was thinking it might not have been the 10yr is because (1) we were drinking it in the grooms 1,100 sqft suite (2) wedding budget was $140k
Anyway, I'll be pouring a glass soon. Test purposes only right?
Thanks again for all the replies and recommendations for me to try.

Thats a bold claim, but i don't know if i can disagree with it.
...
Speaking of distribution just walked into a Liquid Town and they had 20+ cases of BT sitting on the floor. Granted they probably get a decent allocation given the number of stores and the fact they probably sell a ton of fireball but i dont think i have seen that many bottles just sitting there in a long time.

One of my favorite I've had. The nose was strong vanilla and the flavor match but much complex with some reason and cinnamon finish. Awesome!

We can still achieve our goals and win this series. But we are going to have to play better.
Pretty rough game. Prager started and pitched awesome for two innings, while Jace and Ali hit two solo shots to give us a 2-0 lead. Then Gavin made a terrible throwing error on what should have been an inning ending double play and two runs scored so it was 2-2 after 3. He made another error later in the game. Ali had another solo shot to give us back the lead at 3-2. We continue to have issues on the basepaths. I'm the biggest schloss fan, but in my opinion, he pulled Prager too soon. Only had 78 pitches and then the bullpen didn't do their job. Gavin did get a single, but I think he struck out the other three times. Monty was hitless with a couple of weakly hit balls and two (maybe 3 KS). Gavin and Monty have cooled a little bit recently. And the umps were terrible. There were 4 calls that went to review and were overturned. And the last called strike 3 to Monty was high and outside.Aggie Therapist said:

Spot on with this one. Perhaps Gavin's worst game as a college baseball player. Not a good one to do it in, but it happens and will be a learning experience for the lad.

I didn't say I needed it. I was just out of regular cream so I used bourbon cream.

I haven't had pirate coffee in a good minute. Wife is working today and I got the kiddos so can't do that.
Plus we got a big game against LSU tonight!!! I need all the energy to make it through that one. One of the biggest games we have had in a while in my opinion.

FYI, I remember seeing there's an Aggie owned derby horse today with decent odds: Just Steel. Today is also my mom's birthday so she and my brother and sister-in-law (class of '03) and their boys are coming over to watch the race and have mint juleps. Love Derby day. Went to the Preakness the year Barbaro broke his leg. Some buddies and I were actually interviewed in an ESPN article because we went to the Preakness infield in suits after seeing the Derby, and the Preakness infield is NOT a place for suits. Was a fun experience. Massive party.

So our meetings are usually the second Saturday but in May, that's always graduation. Instead, we host a Derby party. This year it had to be star wars themed.
