This is a question for the ladies.
I am always surprised when high profile women like many in sports who have achieved a lot, female movie stars, women in business etc change their names when they get married. Some do so before they become famous or high-profile.
What is the thinking? Why do they do so? Do they or do they not think it is against feminism? Do they struggle with this? How do they reconcile? Even many feminist women do this.
I am a man, I could never change my name. My wife changed her last name to mine. I actually like it, makes me feel she is committed to me. This was of course 20+ years ago.
Maybe women are more adjusting/adaptable/flexible than men in things like this?
