I was thinking about Tim as a marched my fish Final Review a few weeks ago...just as I think of him often, as I get to do things in the Corps I know he would have loved, but missed out on. Knowing that helps me keep it in perspective and realize how lucky I am to be there, even when times are tough.

He's making an impact today, on someone who didn't even know him. Amazing.

i just came home from my first silver taps, and tonight was supposedly the most since bonfire, i can only imagine how one can feel when one night of tragedy can bring this much pain, but at the same time as i read this and shed tears i'm glad to be an ag and to share at least one quality with someone like tim

Not true; our first Silver Taps had 13 honorees. But it didn't feel right to brag about beating that particular record.

I spoke about Tim to nonaggies today at lunch when Bonfire came up. I bet it was weird to see 3 grown men tearing up at a restaurant. Our prayers are with the Kerlee family.

Every time we take high school students out to Bonfire memorial (I work in Admissions and we bring them up for various tours), I always make sure to tell Tim's story. I certainly don't forget the other 11 Ags who lost their lives that evening, but Tim's story is a special one to be told. May the Lord bless Tim and his parents.

Aggie Bonfire draws near, and once again 1999 is now on my mind daily, hourly. we had out of town guests recently and I tried to explain the unexplainable of Aggie Bonfire and Bonfire Tragedy 1999 to those who’ve never heard. One guest was an Army Major who was particularly moved, he just sat mesmerized in absolute reverence.

Rest in Peace Tim, and those who died.

God Bless Tim’s family, and all the families of those lost and injured, and give them your comfort.

I've kept this thread in my watch list for as long as I can remember having one. Reading what everyone has said (over and over again) always brings tears to my eyes, especially on this day.
