This team is really, really good right now. They were playing a game with two generational scorers on the other side and the game's outcome never felt in doubt the entire second half.

It's the biggest story the nba media isn't talking about. Partly because he's also having his best offensive season ever. It's something to watch.

That and he is getting good at being in passing lanes with his offball defense, you forget that he isnt some 6'2-6'3 PG sometimes.
He is like Dirk in that he just has to play to a level where he isnt a huge liability. No one is asking him to be Jordan on defense, when so much is asked of him on offense.
Luka has seemed to figure out how to use his height and his size. He doesnt have to lock someone down, in fact he can even let them drive as long as he stays with them. Then he is in passing lanes if they decide to pass, and able to challenge the shot if they go that route.gigem1223 said:

Officiating sucked so ****ing bad in favor of the suns, but it didn't even matter. That stretch where luka got shoved at mid court ( no call) and he went in for a lay up with 3 guys jumping at him and tons of contact ( no call) then the suns player who went to the basket and ball was clearly off him, but suns kept the ball ( couldn't challenge).

It really was bad. Luka gets battered on the way to the rim with no calls and KD and Booker got weird calls on jump shots. Not overturning Gafford's block of Booker was ridiculous.
Glad it didn't matter, but it's really annoying in the middle of the game, especially against the Suns.

I thought the technical was earned. He chucked the ball at the referee with pretty significant force from not too far. He tried to apologize immediately but it had been a snowball effect and Luka was moments from a tech anyway.
But Luka's anger was not misplaced, the refs were not good.

My wife and I got a good kick out of the ref saying the contact was "too much to ignore" on the Grayson Allen foul review. Then he said it again. We had never heard that before and were very amused by that description.

Yeah, he probably deserved the tech. I just though it was ridiculous to miss those calls and then T him up just to make the whole sequence worse.

It should have been Kidd getting that tech instead of Luka, but Kidd has no control over the game, just ask him.
