Luka is incredible. Absolute travesty that he's not leading the mvp talks, or even in the top 3 right now.

NBA refs are so damn bad. Completely flipped the game there and now some dude named struse rattles off 4 straight 3s for Cleveland.

Tuff luck. Still feel great about this team. Dallas wins that game comfortably if not for terrible officiating and some dude named Struse having a career night and draining a buzzer beater half court shot.

Man. Some no name scrub named Strus and the refs ruined a good game by the mavs. That game was 1 out of a million for Strus and the guy isn't that good. Of course it had to be against us.

This kind of **** always happens to the mavs. I'm glad we have the championship from 2011, but the golden state series from 2007, crooked officiating in the finals in 2006. Mavs fans have suffered some brutal brutal ass losses.

Can we pay another team to take THJ from us? He and Hefner are the same player.

His perimeter defense is the worst though. If he's not hitting shots, which is night to night, he's a team killer when he's on the floor. He could be a good player if he'd know his role. Instead he acts like he's all-nba.

I agree overall. But tonight, Tim is doing *just* enough on offense and Toronto is sucking *just* enough to make the gamble of his presence a positive one (for now). I think his off ball defense is actually way worse lol. But Toronto hasn't been able to capitalize on his mental gaffes.

Turned the game on in the 2nd half and thought he was having a terrible game. Then the broadcast ran the package of how good a first half he had along with his one elbow jumper in the 3rd quarter (I believe he was 0-3 with a missed attempt from the logo on all other shots in the 2nd half at that point).

Shortly before that package, he had hit the side of the backboard on a curl from a baseline ATO play.

And Tim had another classic "foul the ball handler at half court for no reason" in the 2nd half.

If buzz Williams was a player on the Mavs, he'd be THJ

The schedule gets a lot easier after Boston. A 1-3 road trip would be considered a bad result tho. Regardless of the fact that Cleveland, Boston, and Indiana are 3 of the top 5 hottest teams in the league right now.

In an empty gym anyone can.

Taking emotion out, he is shooting 36% from 3. He is just very streaky, and its infuriating when he misses wide open shots.

A guy like him should be shooting 40+%. If you're going to be a zero on defense, provide no secondary creation , and turn the ball over when you are forced to dribble/pass, you have to be an elite shooter.

We have seen enough to bench him completely for Exum or Hardy, IMO.

Also he takes up one seventh of the cap space, which is just an abomination to basketball.

You just have an unreasonable amount of hate, and you arent able to think objectively.
I'd be happy to have him traded, but hes not a bum either, lol.
Thinking about his contract at this point is also a fool's errand.
He is what he is, he's a guy off the bench. Hes no longer our 3rd best player we rely on, which he was obviously not good enough for that role.

Nothing he said was unreasonable. THJ is a complete liability on the floor when he's not hot, which seems to be more rare these days.

To be fair, the vast majority of NBA players are liabilities when they aren't making shots at a respectable clip in the modern NBA. The type of player whose offensive or defensive +/- is high enough that they are of net value when they are shooting below X percent is relatively rare.

The difference is that THJ provides absolutely nothing else other than shooting. Even if he is making his shots at a reasonable clip, it still isn't enough, because his defense is that bad.

He has a defensive rating of 120 this year, bottom 25 in the entire league. Luka's is 113.8, for comparison. Not even close.

So the numbers bear out that he's one of the worst defenders in the league. If you're going to be that bad at defense and provide no connectivity on offense, you have to shoot over 40% from 3.
