Abreu is only .017 points ahead of Maldonado.

Having the worst performing 7-8-9 guys in the league was not even a thought to put on my 2024 Astros bingo card

I'd consider that 3 strikes right there and fire someone. Anyone it doesn't even matter at this point

Well in an attempt at some levity, there is Steve McMichael from the Bears' 85 title team calling out Angel Hernandez during the 7th inning stretch at a Cubs game in TWO THOUSAND AND ONE.

Apparently Hernandez got McMichael thrown out to the stadium for this.

Hader should be buying Abreu lunch every day. His total zero start is shielding Hader's total zero start.

1 RBI on the season for the Abreu as of 4/15
1 Save on the season for Hader as of 4/15.

And Espada needs to stop managing every night like it's the playoffs. Give the bullpen guys chances to see what they can do. You're going Augie Garrido on Seth Martinez.

If we can get Verlander and Ugride back we can inch our way into contention .. just need it to happen soon before we dig a hole we can't get out of … sloppy starters spills over into the bullpen and we are seeing it now .. hopefully we get some back soon .. Framber too

And Abreu w .083 .. this cheet ain't helping anything

Would every GM want him? Sure, but you have other needs and a finite amount assets, so would you be substantially better off allocating those assets including draft picks and pool money to Hader? Probably not.

Now, Crane could have told Dana, I blew your budget on Hader, we'll raise the budget by another $10-15M to fill our needs.

The worst part about Hader sucking is that you really can't justify Abreu or Pressley taking over the 9th given their similar struggles.

And regarding the other Abreu, it's time for an IL stint with discomfort.
