A tradition like no other.
You know the high winds and all the leaves on the greens just burned up Augusta National leadership yesterday.bowhuntr said:

I honestly have no idea at this point, but I'd be mildly shocked if the leaders were still at -7 at the end of round 2.Unemployed said:+3AgBQ-00 said:

Thought this was interesting.
Nobody in the last 19 years has won the Masters from outside the top 11 after Round 1. If that stat holds, your 2024 champion will be one of the following.

Bryson
Scottie
Hojgaard
Homa
Willett
Davis
Fox
Pavon
Young
Conners
An
Niemann

Another stat I saw last night was the winner was never more than 5 shots back after round one.

So far these are the biggest surprises for me as things currently stand. Especially as DJ played well until the restart this morning.
DJ +7
Spieth +7
Theegala +5

You're right. Gonna get windier so I wouldn't be surprised if the cut line goes to +4 or +5.AgLA06 said:I honestly have no idea at this point, but I'd be mildly shocked if the leaders were still at -7 at the end of round 2.Unemployed said:+3AgBQ-00 said:

Up or down. Probably more likely they stretch it to -10 or more or the wind gets so bad they come back to the field some. Just don't see it staying the same.Unemployed said:You're right. I'd add Harmon at +9 shooting a 47 on the back 9.

Although at this point top 50 seems pretty firmly around +3. So it may not matter what the leaders do today.AgLA06 said:Up or down. This is how those 4 came home to resume their first round this morning:
Spieth +6
Harman +9
Theegala +1
DJ +5
And it only got worse for DJ & Theegala to open the 2nd. Tough side of the draw for sure.
Also Fat Pat went +4 in his final 3 holes this morning. I'd love to see the scores to par of every player who had to resume this morning, just on the holes that they had to complete.
