Staying in short season isn't a good sign for Boomer. Could have really used him this year.

Grayson Long made his AA debut with the Mobile Bay Bears. After a lead off single to start the game, he only allowed a walk through his 6 innings of work with 4 Ks.

Rafael Pineda had a less than stellar AAA debut last night as well lasting only 0.2 innings allowing 5 runs. I'm not sure why he skipped AA; last night was his first appearance this season, and he finished last year at A+.

His eligibility was up wasn't it? He lost one year due to transfer and played two at Frogland. I guess he may have chosen to redshirt the year he sat out but I am not sure that was available.

Wilson has pitched 10.1 inning this year. 2.61 ERA.. 7K's.

Mengden throwing in extended spring training as part of comeback from DL.

Trying to piece together the Moss situation. He appeared in 2 games for the Advanced-A Florida Fire Frogs and is now on the short-season Danville Braves roster. Their season begins June 22. I'm not "in the know" enough to understand why. He only got 6 at bats with Florida.

Ruggiano called up by San Francisco, Drew Stubbs reassigned.

Pennington went 0-2 today but is hitting .275 for Angels.

Wilson with a scoreless inning today with 1K and picked up the W.

Ruggiano with a HR today for Giants. 51st career HR. Hitting .294 just a few games in to this season.

Stripling has a 11.37 K/9 Ratio and has 3 holds on the year.

Wacha is 2-1 this year. He has a .8 WAR so far.

St.Louis skipped Wachas start yesterday to give him some rest and hopefully avoid the fatigue/shoulder strain issues he's faced the last few years. Apparently a scheduled day off and not a skipped start due to any injury.

Wacha pitched 4 innings and gave up 6 ER. His ERA is 3.66 now.

Stripling picks up his first save of the year last night, tossing 3 scoreless innings and losing his ERA to 2.54.

Edit: That was also his first career save!

Mengden got called up after another pitcher went on the DL. He's making a start today against the Indians.

Mengden gave up 5 ER in 3.1 innings today.

Alex Wilson pitched a scoreless inning with 1 K and got a hold.

AJ Minter still on DL in minors for Braves.

Ruggiano went 2-4 today.

Kyle Martin has a 1.98 ERA in his last 10 games for Red Sox AAA.

Matt Juengel hitting .270 with 18 RBI for Marlins AAA.

Stilson with a 2.81 ERA for Blue Jays AAA but was recently sent to AA.

Logan Taylor hitting .257 in high A ball for Mariners org.

Nick Banks hitting .249 in A ball.

Simonds is 3-0 with a 3.68 ERA and a .95 WHIP.

After a slow start and I think some time on the DL Allemand hitting .262 in AA.

Ryne Birk hitting .258 in adv A, but with some power.

Went to the Cubs game on Thursday and got to see Ruggiano play. Pretty cool.

They promoted him too fast. Went straight from Rookie to High A were he struggled last year. Then they put him right back in High A instead of allowing him to find himself in A ball.

Ruggiano DFA by Giants. He had been hitting .217.

Mengden got another start for A's. Gave up 4 ER in 4.2 IP.

Pennington has been picking up more PT and is 2-4 tonight. Hitting .250 on the year. He recently appeared in his 900th career game.

Stripling pitched a scoreless inning with 3ks today. On the year he had 37 K's in 31.1 IP.

Melton is still with the short season team he was with last year, Grand Junction of the Rockies org. They start their season on Monday.

Moss is now with the short-season Boise Hawks of the Rockies org. They start their season on Thursday.

Ross has gotten roughed up in his last two outings giving up 7 runs in 3.2IP. That has jumped his ERA to 4.00

Cliff Pennington got his first home run and extra base hit yesterday to break up a perfect game for the Royals.
