The BCS Champ. game was after the Cotton Bowl, he was already taking significant heat for the casino pictures, the pictures at the night club with the bottle of Dom, a Rockets game and a Cowboys game (I'm sure other things could be listed). He knew he was under high scrutiny and knew about issues with autographs - there was a thread on here started by a guy crying because Johnny wouldn't sign stuff for him after a practice. Would be very surprised if Johnny would sign for money.

Can't imagine someone sitting to sign 999 photos, do the math on how long that would take. I'd bet they're faked.

This isn't ESPN out to get us. This is an NCAA investigation they're reporting on, and it sounds like the NCAA at least has a legit reason for the investigation. It doesn't look good, but the question is going to be "what can they prove?"

If Johnny doesn't cooperate he can get suspended just for that. This is going to get messy; there's just no way around it.

ESPN's wall to wall negative coverage of Johnny in the last few weeks suddenly makes sense. Just laying the groundwork for their big hit piece on the eve of fall camp.

The chronicle's reporter is questioning the timing of the report as well as what would be necessary to prove such charges on twitter.

All I can say is hope this isn't true. Best case scenario it's a broker who is a badass signature forger who lied to cover up when called out on the sigs being sequentially numbered. Alternative best case is its the military dude that tricked JFF into signing autographs. Worst case, plead ignorance and have Paul cop to taking the money.
